What customers say

Based on genuine customer reviews

Recurring praise for the company centres on punctual, tidy and personable tradespeople who keep customers informed before arriving. Ken features repeatedly for plumbing work, including a leaking pipe under a sink, replacement of tap parts and a toilet repair, with customers noting that he diagnosed faults quickly, communicated by mobile with an estimated arrival time and left no mess behind. Jack is named for reattaching a toilet to the wall, resealing a bath and repairing sinks, with his standard of finish and site clearance singled out.

Connor is credited with fitting a new bathroom sink without leaving any mess. Geraint and Carl are commended for work at a property that exceeded expectations and was completed to a high standard. Several reviewers describe the firm as straightforward to deal with, paying subcontractors promptly and without haggling, while telephone staff are described as down-to-earth rather than scripted. Bathroom fixture repairs, sink and tap installations, toilet reattachment and general home renovation work appear across the accounts, alongside mentions of high-quality materials and careful craftsmanship.

We are absolutely disgusted at the state our home has been left in. For a long time, we have been battling to get essential repairs carried out after being left with multiple leaks, collapsing ceilings, damaged belongings, and areas of our home that were completely unsafe to enter due to the severity of the damage. When Revive were appointed to carry out the court-ordered work, we made it clear from the beginning that while our frustration lay with the housing association RIVERSIDE HOUSING, we were grateful they were there to put things right. They hadn’t caused the damage, and we gave them the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, that has completely changed. In all our time living in a housing association property, we have seen our fair share of poor contractors, but this goes far beyond that. The workmanship is unacceptable. On top of that, the attitude has been just as bad. We have been spoken to in a condescending manner, as though we are incapable of understanding what is being explained. The manager, who we believe is called Rob, was overheard speaking to the housing association about how they could “get away” with not completing the work or fixing their mistakes, while casually discussing applying to other jobs on indeed. That level of unprofessionalism is shocking. Adding to this, the contractors who were supposed to be completing the work were often found leaving early, joking about “being back next week” when the job was supposed to already be completed and just honestly having poor attitudes. (The two plasterers who done the initial work were lovely so please exclude them from this review as they worked hard given the pressure put on them and tidied up completely). I’m not sure if I need to write more on the repair side of things as the pictures speak for themselves. The floor boards lift up when walking on them, the tiles are not secured to the wall or tanked, the lino is cut poorly and not sealed, the plug socket was plastered into the wall instead of being removed. The wall is now not flush to the floor tiles, as it was before, so Jay thought that they could just grout the gap in and say it was like that beforehand even though we have proof that it wasn’t. This was caused by replacing 3x2 beams with 1.5x2.5 which the plasterers confirmed. The whole cladding was meant to be replaced due to holes and rodents getting in to the loft, but instead they just painted a patch of it. We had pipes boxed in that they have not redone when removing it to do the bathroom, and they’ve just plastered over the mouldy walls claiming that some mould spray that you can buy from B&M will do the trick.

This renovation company truly delivered outstanding service. They listened carefully to our ideas and turned them into reality with precision and creativity. The materials used were high quality, and the craftsmanship was excellent. The entire process was stress-free, and the final outcome added great value to our home. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable home renovation services.

Ken the plumber attended to my bathroom sink leak and identified the problem swiftly and replaced the parts. Engaged in friendly conversation upon completion and I was really pleased their was no mess to clean up afterwards as Ken took care of it. Happy customer. Ken was reliable and communicated by mobile prior to arrival estimated time to expect him and that gave me reassurance the work would be completed within a timely manner. Definitely recommend Ken's service.

They exceeded my expectations by far with the work undertaken, and completed it all to a very high standard. They are a huge credit to the company and I would not hesitate to recommend them. Thank you so so much. Cat and Amelia x
